Riemann Surfaces
Price range: ₹6,078.00 through ₹8,580.00
It is gratifying to learn that there is new life in an old field that has been at the center of one's existence for over a quarter of a century. It is particularly pleasing that the subject of Riemann surfaces has attracted the attention of a new generation of mathematicians from (newly) adjacent fields (for example, those interested in hyperbolic manifolds and iterations of rational maps) and young physicists who have been convinced (certainly not by mathematicians) that compact Riemann surfaces may play an important role in their (string) universe.

Riemannian Manifolds: An Introduction to Curvature
Original price was: ₹6,863.00.₹5,491.00Current price is: ₹5,491.00.
This book is designed as a textbook for a one-quarter or one-semester graduate course on Riemannian geometry, for students who are familiar with topological and differentiable manifolds. It focuses on developing an intimate acquaintance with the geometric meaning of curvature. In so doing, it introduces and demonstrates the uses of all the main technical tools needed for a careful study of Riemannian manifolds. The author has selected a set of topics that can reasonably be covered in ten to fifteen weeks, instead of making any attempt to provide an encyclopedic treatment of the subject. The book begins with a careful treatment of the machinery of metrics, connections, and geodesics, without which one cannot claim to be doing Riemannian geometry. It then introduces the Riemann curvature tensor, and quickly moves on to submanifold theory in order to give the curvature tensor a concrete quantitative interpretation. From then on, all efforts are bent toward proving the four most fundamental theorems relating curvature and topology: the Gauss–Bonnet theorem (expressing the total curvature of a surface in term so fits topological type), the Cartan–Hadamard theorem (restricting the topology of manifolds of nonpositive curvature), Bonnet’s theorem (giving analogous restrictions on manifolds of strictly positive curvature), and a special case of the Cartan–Ambrose–Hicks theorem (characterizing manifolds of constant curvature). Many other results and techniques might reasonably claim a place in an introductory Riemannian geometry course, but could not be included due to time constraints.

Riesz Transforms, Hodge-Dirac Operators and Functional Calculus for Multipliers
Original price was: ₹6,033.00.₹4,827.00Current price is: ₹4,827.00.
This book on recent research in noncommutative harmonic analysis treats the Lp boundedness of Riesz transforms associated with Markovian semigroups of either Fourier multipliers on non-abelian groups or Schur multipliers. The detailed study of these objects is then continued with a proof of the boundedness of the holomorphic functional calculus for Hodge–Dirac operators, thereby answering a question of Junge, Mei and Parcet, and presenting a new functional analytic approach which makes it possible to further explore the connection with noncommutative geometry.

Rigid Geometry of Curves and Their Jacobians
Original price was: ₹13,852.00.₹11,082.00Current price is: ₹11,082.00.
This book presents some of the most important aspects of rigid geometry, namely its applications to the study of smooth algebraic curves, of their Jacobians, and of abelian varieties - all of them defined over a complete non-archimedean valued field. The text starts with a survey of the foundation of rigid geometry, and then focuses on a detailed treatment of the applications.
