Amenable Banach Algebras
Original price was: ₹10,724.00.₹8,580.00Current price is: ₹8,580.00.
This volume provides readers with a detailed introduction to the amenability of Banach algebras and locally compact groups. By encompassing important foundational material, contemporary research, and recent advancements, this monograph offers a state-of-the-art reference. It will appeal to anyone interested in questions of amenability, including those familiar with the author’s previous volume Lectures on Amenability.
Cornerstone topics are covered first: namely, the theory of amenability, its historical context, and key properties of amenable groups. This introduction leads to the amenability of Banach algebras, which is the main focus of the book. Dual Banach algebras are given an in-depth exploration, as are Banach spaces, Banach homological algebra, and more. By covering amenability’s many applications, the author offers a simultaneously expansive and detailed treatment. Additionally, there are numerous exercises and notes at the end of every chapter that further elaborate on the chapter’s contents.
Because it covers both the basics and cutting edge research, Amenable Banach Algebras will be indispensable to both graduate students and researchers working in functional analysis, harmonic analysis, topological groups, and Banach algebras. Instructors seeking to design an advanced course around this subject will appreciate the student-friendly elements| a prerequisite of functional analysis, abstract harmonic analysis, and Banach algebra theory is assumed.

An Excursion through Elementary Mathematics, Volume III: Discrete Mathematics and Polynomial Algebra
Original price was: ₹8,118.00.₹6,495.00Current price is: ₹6,495.00.
This book provides a comprehensive, in-depth overview of elementary mathematics as explored in Mathematical Olympiads around the world. It expands on topics usually encountered in high school and could even be used as preparation for a first-semester undergraduate course. This third and last volume covers Counting, Generating Functions, Graph Theory, Number Theory, Complex Numbers, Polynomials, and much more.
As part of a collection, the book differs from other publications in this field by not being a mere selection of questions or a set of tips and tricks that applies to specific problems. It starts from the most basic theoretical principles, without being either too general or too axiomatic. Examples and problems are discussed only if they are helpful as applications of the theory. Propositions are proved in detail and subsequently applied to Olympic problems or to other problems at the Olympic level.
The book also explores some of the hardest problems presented at National and International Mathematics Olympiads, as well as many essential theorems related to the content. An extensive Appendix offering hints on or full solutions for all difficult problems rounds out the book.

An Introduction to Algebraic Topology
Original price was: ₹6,863.00.₹5,491.00Current price is: ₹5,491.00.
There is a canard that every textbook of algebraic topology either ends with the definition of the Klein bottle or is a personal communication to J. H. C. Whitehead. Of course, this is false, as a glance at the books of Hilton and Wylie, Maunder, Munkres, and Schubert reveals.

An Introduction to Automorphic Representations: With a view toward trace formulae
Original price was: ₹6,554.00.₹5,244.00Current price is: ₹5,244.00.
The goal of this textbook is to introduce and study automorphic representations, objects at the very core of the Langlands Program. It is designed for use as a primary text for either a semester or a year-long course, for the independent study of advanced topics, or as a reference for researchers. The reader is taken from the beginnings of the subject to the forefront of contemporary research. The journey provides an accessible gateway to one of the most fundamental areas of modern mathematics, with deep connections to arithmetic geometry, representation theory, harmonic analysis, and mathematical physics. The first part of the text is dedicated to developing the notion of automorphic representations. Next, it states a rough version of the Langlands functoriality conjecture, motivated by the description of unramified admissible representations of reductive groups over nonarchimedean local fields. The next chapters develop the theory necessary to make the Langlands functoriality conjecture precise. Thus supercuspidal representations are defined locally, cuspidal representations and Eisenstein series are defined globally, and Rankin-Selberg L-functions are defined to give a link between the global and local settings. This preparation complete, the global Langlands functoriality conjectures are stated and known cases are discussed. This is followed by a treatment of distinguished representations in global and local settings. The link between distinguished representations and geometry is explained in a chapter on the cohomology of locally symmetric spaces (in particular, Shimura varieties). The trace formula, an immensely powerful tool in the Langlands Program, is discussed in the final chapters of the book. Simple versions of the general relative trace formulae are treated for the first time in a textbook, and a wealth of related material on algebraic group actions is included. Outlines for several possible courses are provided in the Preface.
