From Groups to Categorial Algebra
Original price was: ₹6,033.00.₹4,827.00Current price is: ₹4,827.00.
This book gives a thorough and entirely self-contained, in-depth introduction to a specific approach to group theory, in a large sense of that word. The focus lie on the relationships which a group may have with other groups, via “universal properties”, a view on that group “from the outside”.

From Holomorphic Functions to Complex Manifolds
Original price was: ₹10,724.00.₹8,580.00Current price is: ₹8,580.00.
The aim of this book is to give an understandable introduction to the the ory of complex manifolds. With very few exceptions we give complete proofs. Many examples and figures along with quite a few exercises are included. Our intent is to familiarize the reader with the most important branches and methods in complex analysis of several variables and to do this as simply as possible. Therefore, the abstract concepts involved with sheaves, coherence, and higher-dimensional cohomology are avoided. Only elementary methods such as power series, holomorphic vector bundles, and one-dimensional co cycles are used. Nevertheless, deep results can be proved, for example the Remmert-Stein theorem for analytic sets, finiteness theorems for spaces of cross sections in holomorphic vector bundles, and the solution of the Levi problem. The first chapter deals with holomorphic functions defined in open sub sets of the space en. Many of the well-known properties of holomorphic functions of one variable, such as the Cauchy integral formula or the maxi mum principle, can be applied directly to obtain corresponding properties of holomorphic functions of several variables. Furthermore, certain properties of differentiable functions of several variables, such as the implicit and inverse function theorems, extend easily to holomorphic functions.

From Objects to Diagrams for Ranges of Functors
Original price was: ₹3,944.00.₹3,155.00Current price is: ₹3,155.00.
The book is centered on two statements: namely, CLL, and its main precursor, the Armature Lemma, which are results of category theory, with hard proofs, which appear here for the first time. Most of the book is aimed at applications outside category theory, and is thus written as a toolbox. The results of the book illustrate how certain representation problems have counterexamples of different cardinalities such as aleph zero, one, two, and explain why. CLL and the Armature Lemma have a wide application range, which we illustrate with examples in lattice theory, universal algebra, and ring theory. We also give pointers to solutions, made possible by our results, to previously intractable representation problems, with respect to various functors.
